Aabadi Mountain Camp is owned and operated by a group of like-minded individuals who all share a passion for eco-friendly tourism in Namibia. We are at the forefront of deploying sustainable technology, focused on reducing the ecological footprint of tourism whilst delivering safari experiences of a lifetime. The team is lead by Abiud Vaya Karongee a community Tourism Development specialist. Karongee pioneered most of the community based tourism development in the area for the last twenty years and he has invested that knowledge in the architecture and conceptualization of Aabadi Mountain Camp.
Being 'Green' – actively being involved in preserving our environment and operating in a sustainable way. We use ‘green’ technology wherever possible to reduce our footprint. We harness the suns energy to generate electricity, heat and pump water. We ferment our waste to generate biogas. Our operation is carbon neutral. Our construction method of choice is sandbag building.
Exceeding Expectations – we like a challenge and we aim to surprise and delight! This is relevant for everyone we come into contact with – our guests, our stakeholders, our investors, our promoters, our own people, our auditors and our fellow safari operators.
Promoting Namibia and in particular Twyfelfontein area, we want you to come and visit us but we also want you to experience Namibia as a whole and all it has to offer. We work with carefully handpicked partners all over this amazing country and would like you to experience the best of what it has to offer and fall in love with it as we have.
Developing People – Aabadi Mountain Camp invests in its people and the motto for those at the companies’ forefront is ‘lead by example’. We use a holistically integrated training program which enables us to employ locally and train people who have not previously been employed in the service industry. We share our passion, promote from within and our ‘green’ family are our greatest ambassadors.
